Baking for the whole family: Woolworths Bug Balls
Ingredients:
- Milk chocolate biscuits – 250 g
- Sweetened condensed milk – 1 cup
- Fine desiccated coconut, extra for coating – 1 1/2 cups
- Cocoa powder, extra for coating – 1/3 cup
- Vanilla extract – 2 tsp
- Chocolate sprinkles, for coating – 100 g
- Pretzels, for bug legs, broken into small pieces
- Skittles, for eyes
- Packet chocolate melts, for wings – 1
Method:
Step 1: Place biscuits in a food processor and process to make fine crumbs (or crush well in a large ziplock bag with a rolling pin). Transfer crumbs to a mixing bowl. Add condensed milk, coconut, cocoa and vanilla extract and mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.
Step 2: Refrigerate for 1 hour or until cold and firm.
Step 3: Using damp hands, roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls.
Step 4: Decorate the bugs by pressing in pretzels for legs, Skittles for the eyes and two chocolate melts for the wings.
Healthy Party Lunch: Woolworths Mummy Pockets
Ingredients:
- Tuna springwater, drained – 190 g
- Low fat cottage cheese – 200 g
- Chopped parsley – 2 Tbsp
- Cucumbers cut into strips and rings to decorate – 2
- Carrots cut into strips and rings to decorate – 2
- Pad Thai rice noodles to decorate – 200 g
- Black olives, sliced – 16
Method:
Step 1: Combine tuna, corn, cheese and parsley in a bowl, and mix.
Step 2: Heat pita following packet directions, then cut each in half to make 8. Fill with tuna mixture.
Step 3: Overlap carrot and cucumber strips on top of pitas. If using rice noodles, soak in boiling water until softened. Dry well. Lay over the top of the pocket and trim the edges.
Step 4: Add cucumber, carrot and olives for eyes. Drizzle with sweet chilli sauce.
Drinks for the Family: Woolworths Poison Apple Punch
Ingredients:
- Powder-free food-safe disposable glove – 1
- Bottle raspberry syrup – 1/2
- Apple juice – 2 L
- Cranberry juice – 1 1/2 L
- Lemonade – 1 1/4 L
- Juice of 1 lemon
Method:
Step 1: Fill a glove 3/4 full with water, tie a knot to seal and freeze until solid.
Step 2: Transfer the raspberry syrup to a piping bag. Run the piping bag around the rim of the punch bowl, varying the pressure to create drips of raspberry syrup down the side of the bowl.
Step 3: Add half each of the apple juice, cranberry juice, lemonade and lime juice. Stir to combine. Reserve the other half of the ingredients for topping up punch bowl.
Step 4: Cut the ice cube out of the glove, place in the punch bowl and serve.
Mocktails for the teens: Woolworths AU Witches Brew!
Ingredients:
- 40ml blackcurrant syrup
- 250ml clear apple juice
- 360ml blue energy drink
- 2 drops purple food colour gel
- 2 tsp chickpea liquid
- 1 cup ice cubes
- chilled lemonade, to top up
- 8 sugar-coated sour worms
Method:
Step 1: Combine juice, energy drink, gel and chickpea liquid in a shaker. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds until foamy.
Step 2: Top glasses with ice. Fill with brew and top with lemonade. Add sour worms and serve.

Spooky Cocktails
Vampires Kiss
Ingredients:
- 20ml Raspberry Liqueur
- 25ml Vodka
- Ice
- Handful of frozen Raspberries
- Red sugar to garnish (optional)
- Champagne to top up
Method:
Step 1: Chill a martini or cocktail glass. Pour the raspberry liqueur and vodka into a cocktail shaker and add a handful of ice and the raspberries.
Step 2: Shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold. If using the coloured sugar, dip the rim of your chilled glass into cold water, then into the sugar.
Step 3: Fine-strain the cocktail into your prepared glass and top with the champagne.

Corpse Reviver No. 2
Ingredients:
- 30ml Gin
- 30ml Cointreau
- 30ml Lillet Blanc
- 20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1x Lemon Twist, for garnish
Method:
Step 1: Fill shaker with ice, combine gin, Cointreau, Lillet and lemon Juice
Step 2: Shake well, strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist. Enjoy!
